The death penalty

Sir, — This refers to the clamour for pardoning Dhananjoy Chatterjee. But the victim's family must want the culprit to be brought to book.

Sir, — Life imprisonment with assured food, clothing and shelter to the likes of Dhananjoy is more a reward than punishment at the expense of taxpayers' money.
