Sir, Life imprisonment with assured food, clothing and shelter to the likes of Dhananjoy is more a reward than punishment at the expense of taxpayers' money.

Sir, Society has the right to punish criminals. But in a way society is also responsible (if not wholly, partly) for turning people into criminals. Poverty, illiteracy and movies are some factors that contribute to the rot.
