Army recruitment from Aug. 2

TIRUCHI, JULY 8. The army will conduct recruitment drive from August 2 to 8 at Nagapattinam sports stadium to enrol eligible youth from Nagapattinam, Thanjavur, Karur, Perambalur, Tiruvarur, Sivaganga, Kanyakumari districts and Karaikal of the Union Territory of Pondicherry.

The drive is for recruitment of soldier general duty (Matric), soldier general duty (non-Matric), soldier technical, soldier clerk/store keeper technical, soldier nursing assistant and soldier tradesman categories, a press release from Colonel B. Mohanty, Director, Branch Recruiting Office, Tiruchi, said.

Those below 18 years can attend the recruitment with a consent certificate from their parents.

Wards of ex-servicemen, defence personnel, war widows, NCC certificate holders can also attend.

They should report at the venue at 5 a.m. on the date allotted to them.

They should bring eight photographs, original documents and two photocopies of each document in support of their qualification, community, nativity, NCC, and sports certificates.
