Ganja seized

VILLUPURAM, JULY 8. The police today arrested V. Chinnan (25) of Usilampatti at the Tindivanam bus stand and seized 9.5 kg of ganja from him. The police said Chinnan was keeping the contraband in a bag at a petty shop in the bus stand. He is claimed to have said that he procured the drug from Andhra Pradesh and was on his way to Madurai to dispose it of.

He was remanded to custody.
