Maruti hikes prices

CHENNAI, JULY 8. Following the levy of 2 per cent education cess in the Union Budget, the ex-showroom prices of Maruti vehicles in Delhi have gone up by about 0.38 per cent across all models.

The price of Maruti 800 Standard (Euro II) has gone up by Rs. 792 to Rs. 2.06 lakhs, Alto LX by Rs. 1,026 to Rs. 2.67 lakhs, and WagonR LX by Rs. 1,262 to Rs. 3.28 lakhs. The price of Baleno LXi has gone up by Rs. 2,153 to Rs. 5.62 lakhs. — Our Special Correspondent
