Training workshop
Teachers from different schools teaching different subjects attended the various sessions addressed by experts. The objective of the workshops was to acquaint the teachers with the latest concepts and methodologies in interactive and activity-based teaching. Besides attending the workshops, the teachers also shared innovative teaching techniques with each other during the demonstration sessions.
Innovative techniques
The workshop is the eighth in a series over the past 18 months. The focus of the workshop was on using innovative activity-based techniques for environmental education, such as games, art, drama, maps and observation with the tiger as the theme. One of the key advantages of this teaching method is the simplistic approach that could easily be used even in interior areas like in schools and villages around tiger reserves where funds are low and resource material is often not available.
