APCOCA invoked against Aziz Reddy

HYDERABAD, JULY 8. The Hyderabad police have invoked the Andhra Pradesh Control of Organised Crime Act (APCOCA) against Aziz Reddy and his associates, who were charged with carrying out illegal activities in Hyderabad in collusion with Mumbai underworld mafia and arrested recently following a shootout in Hyderabad. A special team of four IPS officers was formed to record the statements of the accused.

Aziz and his accomplices, who were in judicial remand, were taken into police custody on Thursday.
