HYDERABAD, JULY 8. The Government will examine in detail the allotment of more than five acres of land made by the previous TDP Government to various industries or individuals during the last two years of its tenure, the Revenue Minister, D. Prasada Rao, informed the Assembly on Thursday. Rejecting the demand made by M. Ranga Reddy of Congress for appointing a House committee, the Minister said the Government had already directed the official machinery to furnish the relevant information and also constituted a Cabinet Sub-Committee in this regard.
Freedom fighters' demands
Answering another question, the Minister told G. Chinna Reddy of Congress and others that the Government would sympathetically consider the demands of the Freedom Fighters' Association to extend free bus travel facility and increase their pension from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 2,000.
The Finance Minister, K. Rosaiah, told G. Venkata Reddy of Congress and others that no decision had been taken on privatisation of Discoms.
