Man arrested for murder

COIMBATORE, JULY 8 . The Kattoor police today arrested a coolie-cum-autorickshaw driver on charges of strangulating a suspected thief to death.

Early this morning, an unidentified 35-year-old man was found dead and his body was seen tied to a lamppost at Anupparpalayam in Kattoor with the help of nylon packing material.

The body bore injuries leading to a suspicion that it could be murder.

A team of police personnel led by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), P. Nagarajan and the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Law and Order - Central), S. Nizzamuddin visited the scene of crime with forensic experts.
