4 killed in car-lorry smash

HYDERABAD,
JULY 9.
Four persons, including two women, were killed and one was injured in a head-on collision of a car and lorry on the outskirts of Valvapur village on Nizamabad-Hyderabad highway in Chegunta of Medak district on Friday.
The victims were travelling in the car. While Gali Krishnamoorthy (72) of Ameerpet, Prabhavati (55) and Sheshu (45) of Tenali died on the spot, the car driver, G. Narayana (48) of Ameerpet, succumbed to his injuries in Ramayampet Government Hospital.
The mishap occurred at around 1.30 p.m. when the car going from Hyderabad to Nizamabad collided against the lorry coming in the opposite direction.
The lorry driver fled the spot.
