Held for `attacking' cop
A youngster allegedly attacked a traffic cop when the latter fined him for parking motorbike in a no-parking area at Trimulgherry on Friday. Emmanuel was arrested by the Karkhana police on the charge of assaulting the Sub-Inspector of Karkhana traffic police station, C. Narayana.
Two succumb
to burns
A woman, Laxmi (21), who sustained 90 per cent burns after the kerosene stove in her house accidentally blew up at Vaddrera street in Addagutta on Friday, died at the Gandhi hospital a few hours later.
In another incident, Prema (20), who reportedly set herself afire along with her husband, Rao Sab, on July 6 following an argument over a family matter, succumbed to burns.
