VISAKHAPATNAM, JULY 10. The Minister for Commercial Taxes, Konathala Ramakrishna, on Saturday lauded the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) for placing "useful proposals" in the master plan for the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region (VMR). The proposals would help in meeting the future requirements of people in the limits of VMR, he said after the Minister and the MLAs representing the areas falling under the VMR, were briefed by the VUDA Special Officer and the Vice-Chairman, D. Sreenivasulu, and other senior officials on the features of the Master Plan-2021. Mr. Ramakrishna said that VUDA should also include a provision for setting up an "Education Town" in the master plan, by setting up educational institutions from primary to PG level at one place.
