HYDERABAD, JULY 10. Holiday crowd in the bustling NTR Gardens had foreign company here on Saturday evening when the international delegates attending the executive council of the World Tourism Organisation came visiting. The Hyderabad Urban Development Authority (HUDA) Chairman, Sudheer Reddy, the Vice-Chairman, Ashok Kumar, and other senior officials received the delegates and took them on a guided tour of the 34 acre park including the fruit restaurant, shiromani garden, bonsai garden, roaring cascade, etc. Later, the tourist delegates boarded the `Pearl City Express', toy train and went round the park. Talking to newsmen, the Tourism Minister for Ecuador, Gladys Eljuri de Alvarez, and Kazepimaro from Cyprus said they were much impressed with the facilities provided in the park for visitors and the greenery around. "We feel very relaxed and happy to be here," they said. Mr. Reddy said the HUDA had made plans for further improvement of facilities for the tourists in the area. He pointed out that the Sanjeevaiah Park, which was taken over from the Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) was in for a massive facelift. A theme park is to be constructed inside the park. In two years time, some of the plans would be fruitful, he said. "Our objective is to make the city a destination for international as well as tourists from all over the country," he said.
