HYDERABAD, JULY 10. The Sri Mahankali Temples Combined Procession Committee has requested the State Government to declare a holiday on Monday, so as to facilitate people to participate in the Bonalu procession in large numbers. Bonalu festival will be held from 6.30 a.m. onwards on Sunday and `Bonam' will be offered at every Mahankali Temple in the old city. At a press conference here on Saturday, K. Shanker, president of the committee said on Monday, the procession would reach Charminar by 5.30 p.m. "On July 12, after Pothuraju swagatham and Rangam poojas, various temple executives will decorate the holy Mahankali Ghatams on chariots," he said.
