PATHANAMTHITTA, JULY 11. The Health Department has launched a special drive to check the reported spread of suspected dengue fever cases in the district, according to an official release issued by the District Medical Officer, N. Damodaran, here on Saturday. Dr. Damodaran said that the department will be organising more awareness camps in the coming days on dengue fever in and around Ranni from where certain suspected cases of the disease have been reported. He said that the clinical laboratory test facility for dengue fever has been made available at all major Government hospitals in the district. According to him, the public may contact the special cell (Phone: 0468-2228220, 2222642) being set up at the District Medical Office in Pathanamthittta, to report any suspected case of dengue fever in the district.
