A TDP touch all along
Majority of leaders who attended the maiden meeting of Rayalaseema Rights United Forum on Sunday here were either active leaders of the Telugu Desam party or those who resigned from it recently. The convener of the forum, T.G. Venkatesh, had resigned from the party and joined the Congress after the election. The Telugu Yuvatha district president, S.V. Mohan Reddy, the TDP district secretary, Y. Jayaraj and the former MLA, Masala Eeranna were present at the meeting.
Mr. Masala Eeranna announced that he had resigned from the TDP to devote time for the Rayalaseema movement.
Mr. Venkatesh announced that the Pathikonda MLA, S.V. Subba Reddy, also extended his support to the Rayalaseema rights movement. There is likely to be an exodus from the TDP if the movement picked up as the forum offered right opportunity for those who wanted to disassociate with the TDP, he said.
