NEW DELHI, JULY 11. To bring the people, especially the students, closer to the police, the West Delhi police have launched a programme, Nidar, which seek to make the society more informed and better equipped to face the turbulence of the present day fast-changing society. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (West District), Satish Golcha, who has taken the initiative, said the children of today are the citizens of tomorrow and so with its motto of "Citizens First'' the district police has undertaken the task of interacting with the school children of the area to provide students with various avenues for physical, mental and spiritual growth and to make them aware about crime and crime prevention methods in a friendly environment. Mr Golcha said already about 800 students from 48 schools have been enlisted and various projects have been undertaken.
