BANGALORE, JULY 11. A couple were chased and murdered allegedly by two of their relatives in Muneshwara Nagar in Girinagar Police Station limits on Sunday. The police gave the names of the victims as Kalayya (50) and Laxmamma (45). They have arrested Manjunath and Shivakumar in this regard. The police said Venkatesh, son of Kalayya, married Nagaratna two years ago. She recently went to her parents' house in Laxmipura for delivery of a child. It is said that Nagaratna's relatives got angry when Venkatesh refused to come out of his parents' house and live separately. Manjunath and Shivakumar, relatives of Nagaratna, armed with choppers, chased Kalayya and Laxmanna and attacked them. Kalayya died while being taken to the hospital, and his wife died at National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) Hospital, the police added.
