HYDERABAD, JULY 11. The President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, will inaugurate CII-Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre, near Hi-Tec City, on Wednesday. Green Business Centre (GBC) is a joint initiative of the State Government, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the house of Godrej with technical support from USAID. Launched during the visit of the former United States President, Bill Clinton, in March 2000, GBC aims at promoting green business activity and is the first building outside the United States to get a platinum rating.

The main engagement during the one-day visit of the President will be his address to a special session of the State Assembly. It will be second such address by a President after Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy spoke at a joint session of the Legislature in 1978.
