Police seize auto only to find it stolen later

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, JULY 11. An autorickshaw seized by the Saifabad traffic police was stolen by unidentified persons after they parked it in front of their station at Liberty crossroads on Saturday. The traffic police station Inspector, Md. Mohinuddin, spotted the autorickshaw parked on the road near New MLA Quarters leading to traffic congestion. As the vehicle owner was not around, he directed policemen to seize the vehicle and shift it to the police station premises.

But, the three-wheeler was found missing after an hour. Confirming the incident, the Narayanaguda police said a theft case was registered on receipt of a complaint from Mr. Mohinuddin. "It is not yet known if the vehicle owner has taken it away or some offenders are behind the theft," they said.
