Plea for grace marks

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, JULY 11. The All India Youth Federation (AIYF) has requested the Government to consider adding five grace marks to SSC students who have failed in one subject.

In a statement here, G. Easwaraiah, general secretary of the AIYF State committee said that more than 90,000 students fall in the category of failing in one subject with less than five marks needed for clearing it. He said majority of these were students from Government schools and this was a direct result of lack of teachers and facilities.

The Government should consider this plea on humanitarian grounds, he said adding that it was done several times in the past.
