West Godavari native held in fake passport cases

HYDERABAD, JULY 11. A native of West Godavari district, Srinivas, was arrested by the Afzalgunj police on Sunday in connection with fake passport cases reported in Mumbai and Delhi.

Sources said the Mumbai and Delhi police were on the look-out for Srinivas. On a tip-off, the police here nabbed him after raiding a lodge. The Mumbai police recently arrested a woman who allegedly attempted to travel with a fake passport and visa.

During interrogation, the police learnt that her passport was impounded by the Delhi police in another case. Further probe suggested that Srinivas could have helped the woman secure the fake documents.
