CHANDIGARH, JULY 12. A history of sorts was created, when the Punjab Assembly, through a Bill, terminated the agreement signed by the Chief Ministers of Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan on December 31, 1981, for sharing of waters of the Sutlej, Beas and Ravi rivers. The legislation was passed unanimously. `The Punjab Termination of Agreements Bill, 2004,' was moved in the Assembly, which had a brief one-day session, for the purpose. Later, a delegation of legislators, which was led by the Chief Minister, Amarinder Singh, called on the Governor to submit the Bill for approval. The Leader of the Opposition, Parkash Singh Badal, and some other Akali legislators also accompanied Capt. Amarinder Singh.
