CUDDAPAH, JULY 13. The Rayalaseema in charge of State Language Teachers Association, N. Bodi Reddy, on Tuesday demanded that the Government grant Grade I pay scales to language teachers who did not move the court, on a par with those who secured court orders last year. He told a press conference here that the Government granted Grade I scales to those approaching courts, but denied it to those who did not. Language teachers had to be paid the pay scales as per G.O. 330 of 1983 and G.O.s 644 and 645 of 2000, but they were nullified by G.O. 176 issued in 2000, which was quashed by the court, he stated. The association would file a contempt petition, he warned.
