Isolated rainfall in T.N.
CHENNAI, JULY 13. Southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and active over Rayalaseema, Telangana and north interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over coastal and north interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Telangana, at many places over Kerala, south interior Karnataka and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. Dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep. The following stations recorded very heavy to heavy rainfall in cm: Honavar 13, Kollur (Udupi dt.) 12, Agumbe 10, Yelaburga (Koppal dt.) 9, Prakasam Barriage (Krishna dt.) 8 and Ganavaram 7. The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cm are: Narasapur 6, Machilipatnam, Metpalli (Guntur dt.), Gooty (Ananthapur dt.) and Karwar 5 each, Cuddappah, Pamidi (Ananthapur dt.), Shadnagar (Mahbunagar dt.), Shirali and Gadag 4 each, Gudalur Bazaar and Naduvattam (both Nilgiris dt.), Chittur (Palakkad dt.), Peddapuram (East Godavari dt.), Podili (Prakasam dt.), Royachoti (Cuddapah dt.), Ananthapur, Gadwal (Mahbubnagar dt.) and Koppal 3 each, Polur (Tiruvannamali dt.), Valparai, Pollachi and Tirupur (both Coimbatore dt.), Kozhikode, Quilandy (Kozhikode dt.), Manjeri (Malapuram dt.), Mananthavady (Wynad dt.), Hosdurg (Kasargod dt.), Kakinada, Tuni, Kaikalur (Krishna dt.), Srisailam (Kurnool dt.), Kurnool, Madhira (Khammam dt.), Nizamabad, Hyderabad Airport, Bagalkote, Ramadurga and Londa (both Belgaum dt.), Shirahatti (Dharwad dt.) and Sirugupa (Bellary dt.) 2 each, Thali (Krishnagiri dt.), Mettupalayam (Coimbatore dt.), Vadakara (Kozhikode dt.), Kozhikode Airport, Mannarkkad and Ottapalam (both Palakkad dt.), Cannur, Ambalavayal (Wynad dt.), Kannara (Thrissur dt.), Haripad (Alapuzha dt.), Rajamundry and Dowlaishvaram (both East Godavari dt.), Bapatla, Ongole, Mantralayam, Holalagondla and Allagadda (all Kurnool dt.), Arogyavaram, Chittur, Ramagundam, Eturnagaram (Warangal dt.), Perur and Koide (both Khammam dt.), Sirsi (Uttarakannada dt.), Mangalore Airport, Gulbarga, Almatti (Bijapur dt.), Hirekerur (Havari dt.), Hanumsagara (Koppal dt.), Bellary, Bangalore, Hoskote (Bangalore Rural dt.), 1 each. FORECAST (Valid until Thursday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka, at many places over Kerala, interior Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Lakshadweep.
