HYDERABAD, JULY 13. In a significant development aimed at resolving the vexatious naxalite problem, the Home Minister, K. Jana Reddy, held talks with emissaries of the People's War at the Secretariat here on Tuesday. Mr. Reddy offered provision of the `best medical treatment' to Yadanna and another naxalite injured in the shootout at Voddugudem in Warangal district. With this, the Government efforts for a dialogue with naxalites appeared to have reached a crucial stage. This was the first-ever official interaction with the PW emissaries under the fresh bid for talks by the new Government. The emissaries were Varavara Rao, G. Kalyana Rao, both of Viplava Rachaithala Sangham, and Gaddar, balladeer.
