Take over Trust: Swamy

By Our Special Correspondent

CHENNAI, JULY 13. The Janata Party president, Subramanian Swamy, today urged the State Government to take over the Periyar-Maniammai Trust run by the Dravidar Kazhagam president, K. Veeramani.

Welcoming the notice issued by the Government, he said Mr. Veeramani had been interested in only making business out of the Trust.

Recalling the statements made by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president, M. Karunanidhi, against Mr. Veeramani, Dr. Swamy expressed the hope that the DMK leader would not develop amnesia on this due to "political rivalry".
