PONDICHERRY, JULY 14. The 215th French Republic Day (Fete Nationale) was celebrated in Pondicherry, a former French colony, today with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm. The French Consul General here Michel Seguy and the Pondicherry Collector V. Candavelu (as a representative of Pondicherry Administrastion) were among those who paid homage at the statue of `Soldat Inconnu' (Unknown Soldier) on the premises of the French Government maintained War Memorial on the beach road here.
