CHITRADURGA, JULY 14. A delegation from Chitradurga will meet the Chief Minister, N. Dharam Singh, and the Deputy Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, on Friday to demand the implementation of the Upper Bhadra Project. The former MP and president of the Chitradurag Zilla Neeravari Horata Samiti (CZNHP), P. Kodandaramaiah, will lead the delegation. At a meeting here on Monday, presided by the Bhahujan Samaj Party's state general secretary, M. Jayanna, the members of the CZNHP urged the Government to allot funds to the project in the upcoming budget, according to a press release. The delegation would try to convince the leaders to take up the project so as to provide water to the district, the release said.
