The tests are mainly being conducted among the inmates from other States like Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu and the results are yet to be known. But inmates who have contracted fever are being given medicines for malaria as precautionary measure. Fogging and spraying of chemicals are also being undertaken in the jail to prevent the outbreak of an epidemic. Replying to questions, the Jail Superintendent admitted that the jail was overcrowded.
