THRISSUR, JULY 14. A 30-year-old man ended his life by jumping in front of a speeding train after allegedly slashing his wife to death at Palissery near Cherpu in the district this morning. The police identified the husband as Karamparambil Sajivan and his deceased wife as Sobha (27). According to the police, Sajivan hacked his wife to death while she was feeding their baby. He then took an autorikshaw to a railway track nearby and committed suicide, the police said. The reason for the incident was not known. A case has been registered.
