PATHANAMTHITTA, JULY 14. The Kerala Beekeepers' Association has alleged that the apiculture project, launched by the Forest Department, was a total failure due to the official indifference in its implementation. In a statement here today, the association president, Shaji Mathew, said that the project was aimed at promoting forest conservation among the people living in the fringe areas of the forests through the Vana Samrakshana Samithis (VSS). The association president alleged that the project was launched with out extending any training in beekeeping to the VSS volunteers.
