THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JULY 14. The Minister for Information and Parliamentary Affairs, M.M. Hassan, said in the Assembly on Wednesday that the Government was in the process of framing rules under the Right to Information Act. Replying to the debate on the demand for grants for Information and Publicity, the Minister said that the draft rules for the Central Act had been sent to the Union Government for approval. The Minister said that his Department had prepared documentaries on 17 eminent persons. More such documentaries were in the drawing board. Facilities were being set up for video documentation of official events in the districts. Mr. Hassan announced that the Government was drawing up norms for extending Journalists' Pension Scheme to journalists working in electronic media and periodicals.
