MYSORE, JULY 14. As part of the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Sri Sarada Devi, the Ramakrishna Ashram will organise a State-level written quiz contest for students studying in classes VI to XII. In a press release, the president of Ramakrishna Ashram, Mysore, Swami Atmavidanandaji, said that the quiz titled "Sri Sarada Jnana Sudha" had been organised with a view to introducing the students to the divine lives of the "holy trinity" comprising Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda. Letters containing the rules and regulations of the contest had been despatched to the principals and headmasters/headmistresses of all institutions in the city.
The contestants will be divided into different categories. The first prize for students of Class VI and VII is Rs. 1,500, the second prize is worth Rs 1,000 and the third prize is Rs. 500. In the second category, comprising students of classes VIII, IX and X, the first prize is Rs. 2,000, the second prize is Rs. 1,500 and the third prize is valued at Rs. 1,000. In the third category, comprising students of Class XI and XII, the first prize is worth Rs 2,500 while the second and third prizes are worth Rs 2,000 and Rs 1,500 respectively.
