NEW DELHI, JULY 14. The Supreme Court today suggested arbitration on the question of sharing of revenue among Taj TV (Dubai), Doordarshan and Modi Entertainment in the telecast of the recent India-Pakistan cricket series. A three-judge Bench comprising Justice N. Santosh Hedge, Justice S.B Sinha and Justice S.H. Kapadia asked the three parties to furnish two names each by July 23 for the constitution of a three-member committee to determine the quantum of revenue-sharing among them. The parties were also asked to indicate their own terms of reference to determine the damages. The Bench made it clear that it reserved the right to choose the three members of the proposed committee out of the six names furnished by the parties. Similarly, it also reserved the right to finally decide the terms of reference keeping in view the terms of reference furnished by the parties to the court. The Bench directed listing of the matter for further hearing on July 29. The order was passed after hearing senior counsel K. Parasaran for Taj TV, senior counsel Gopal Subramaniam for Doordarshan and senior counsel Harish Salve for Modi Entertainment.
