Mysore well placed

MYSORE, JULY 14 Helped by some responsible knocks by C.S. Sharan (75), Karthik Raghavan (50) and Adity B Sagar (44), Mysore zone in its first essay scored 297 in 80.4 overs and at close of play had reduced Tumkur Zone to 32 for one in 14 overs in their Group 'B' league encounter in the KSCA Inter-zonal U-17 cricket tournament played at the Gangotri grounds here on Wednesday.

In the other Group `B' tie at PET grounds, Mandya, Bangalore City XI helped by some good bowling by Dilip Sagar (five for 43) bowled out Raicur Zone for 180 in 80.2 overs and at close of play had scored 73 for one in 22 overs.

The scores:

At Mysore: Mysore 297 in 80.4 overs (C.S. Sharan 75, Karthik Raghavan 50, Aditya B. Sagar 44, Faheem three for 42) v Tumkur 32 for one in 14 overs.

At Mandya: Raichur 180 in 80.2 overs (Alok Deshpande 69, Dilip Sagar five for 43, Anish three for 42) v Bangalore City XI 73 for one in 22 overs (A.V. Darshan 35).

At Bangalore: Dharwad 324 (Rohit 25, Manoj A. 100, Anirudh Joshi 49, Ashok 76, Sachin Shenoy four for 79) vs Mangalore seven for no loss.

Bangalore 300 (Rohan Shah 78, A.G.Deepak 62, Gautham 52 , Raghavendra four for 48) v Shimoga.
