BHOPAL, JULY 14. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party members today faced some embarrassing moments in the Assembly during the discussion on the State Budget when it was pointed out by the Congress that both the Chief Minister as well as the State Finance Minister were not present in the House. The infuriated Congress members, led by the leader of Opposition, Jamuna Devi, even led a token walk-out on this issue. The former Minister, Indrajit Kumar, who was already in the process of describing the budget as anti-poor and anti-farmer when his party members staged a walkout, was initially reluctant but he too joined the protest. When the Congress members left the House, the Communist Party of India (CPI) MLA, Ramlakhan Sharma, even went to the extent of asking whether the Congress stand was reflective of its "escapist" tendency. This remark was however expunged.
