MANGALORE, JULY 14. South Canara District Central Cooperative Bank Ltd., in association with Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district cooperative unions and ING Vysya Insurance Company Ltd., has organised a one-day training programme for presidents and secretaries of agriculture credit cooperative societies/banks in insurance schemes. A press release from the managing director of the bank said that the training for participants from the Puttur subdivision comprising Puttur, Belthangady, and Sullia taluks would be held at Naman Towers, Puttur, on Saturday. The training for those from Mangalore subdivision comprising Mangalore and Bantwal taluks would be held at the SCDCC hall on Sunday and for those from the Kundapur subdivision comprising Udupi, Kundapur, and Karkala taluks, it would be held at Hotel Kediyoor, Udupi, on July 19. M.N. Rajendra Kumar, president of the bank, would inaugurate the camp, he said. The presidents of the cooperative federations of the two districts, P.B. Diwakar Rai and Kishan Hedge; the vice-president of the bank, and the Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Chandrashekar Suvarna; would participate in the programme, he added.
