Armitage meets Prayas children

By Our Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI, JULY 14. The U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, Richard L. Armitage, today took time off from his busy schedule to spend time with children of the Prayas Institute of Juvenile Justice. Mr. Armitage listened to the views of children on their problems, concerns and issues relating to juvenile crime and trafficking. "We should seriously stand together against this shameful malady afflicting our society," he said.

Prayas, a non-government organisation, is working for the care, protection and rehabilitation of neglected street and working children. It is also doing pioneering work against trafficking of minor girls.
