One injured in country bomb attack

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM, JULY 16 . A 24-year-old youth was injured in a country bomb explosion at Kaniyapuram late on Wednesday night. The police identified the injured as Nizamudeen. He has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital in a serious condition.

Held on theft charge: The city police have arrested a 30-year-old youth in connection with the snatching of a woman's necklace at Thycaud on July 13 evening. Police identified the accused as Arunkumar alias Appu.

Two held: The police have arrested a 19-year-old youth on the charge of assaulting the owner of a hotel at Kameleswaram on July 14. Police identified the accused as Asokan, a resident of Payattukuppa.
