Forecast: A few spells of rain or thundershowers.

At Waltair, the maximum temperature was 26.3 degree Celsius and the minimum was 24.5 degree Celsius respectively on Thursday. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 92 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 93 per cent. Rainfall at 8.30 a.m. was 20.0 mm and at 8.30 p.m. was 5.5 mm.

At Airport, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 27.4 degree Celsius and 25.6 degree Celsius respectively. Humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 86 per cent and at 5.30 p.m. was 92 per cent. Rainfall at 8.30 a.m. was 12.0 mm and at 8.30 p.m. was 14.6 mm.

Open varsity

admission

The last date for sale of application forms and submission of filled in forms for admission into the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University's first year B.A., B.Com. and B.Sc. courses for the 2004-05 academic year, has been extended up to July 31.

The application forms can be had from the university's Study Centre at the Dr. V.S. Krishna Government College here on payment of Rs. 50 in the shape of a demand draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad'', according to the Regional Co-ordinator of the Open University here on Thursday.

Bus pass

The APSRTC has decided to issue bus passes to the students pursuing vocational courses in Intermediate, on par with the students of regular Intermediate courses. The bus passes to the students of Intermediate vocational courses will be issued up to July 18 only, according to a press release from the Regional Manager of the APSRTC here, D. Satyanarayana, here on Thursday.

Ticketless travel

The checking squads and RPF personnel of the East Coast Railway detected 95 cases of irregular travel and unbooked luggage during a check made at Kothavalasa on Wednesday. Another 20 persons travelling without tickets were produced before the Railway Magistrate's camp court.
