`Kidnapped' scribe escapes

HYDERABAD, JULY 15. A woman sub-editor of a Telugu monthly magazine, P. Chaitanya (22), managed to escape after she was allegedly kidnapped by four persons from Vijayapuri colony in Taranaka on Thursday morning. The Lalaguda police registered a kidnap case on receipt of a complaint from Chaitanya.

According to her, four unidentified persons dragged her into a Tata Sumo while she was going to her office on foot.

Chaitanya claimed that she jumped out of the vehicle when it stopped at Miapur.
