Gadar receives threatening letters

By Our Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD, JULY 15. Balladeer, Gadar, has received letters from self-styled `Green Tigers', allegedly threatening to kill him if he participates in the ongoing peace talks between the Government and naxalites.

The Alwal police registered a case under Section 507 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC following a complaint from Gaddar here on Thursday.

The balladeer had handed over three letters he had received that were written in the name of Hari Bhushan of Green Tigers.

Hari Bhushan remarked that human rights activists were speaking on behalf of naxalites who had allegedly killed leaders like Ragya Nayak and Sri Pada Rao.

He also threatened to eliminate Vara Vara Rao, Sankaran and Balagopal for mediating with the Government and allegedly supporting the ideology of naxalites.
