Clarification

HYDERABAD,
JULY 15.
Tata Teleservices Limited on Thursday clarified that G. Jagadish, who was arrested by the Nallakunta police two days ago, was not an employee of Tata Indicom as reported in these columns.
He was an executive with Andaal Teleservices, a business associate of Tata Indicom, a press release from the company said. However, the news report was based on police records.
When contacted, the Nallakunta Inspector, T. Nagaraj Kumar, said they had mentioned Jagdish as a Tata Indicom executive based on the latter's statement during questioning.
