Andavan Swamiji `Sapthathi' fete

Tirupati. July 16. The 70th birth anniversary of Srirangam Srimad Andavan was today celebrated amid religious fervour by his disciples in the newly built Andavan Ashramam at Tiruchanoor, the abode of Goddess Padmavathi.

The three-day celebrations concluded today. The day was marked by chanting of scriptures from Vedas and verses from Divya Prabadhas by pundits and pupils of the Veda Pathasala being run by the Ashramam on the banks of the Swarnamukhi river in the temple town. The pundits were later honoured by the local secretary of the ashramam, C. Chakravarthi.
