BANGALORE, JULY 16. People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), a Bangalore-based animal care organisation, has released in the market soya-bean milk, under the name of "Soy milk." The organisation claims that it is a better alternative to dairy milk. "When you take a sip of milk, you are supporting animal abuse while harming your own health," according to Dilpreet Beasley, coordinator, PETA India. Soya milk is good for Indian conditions, he says. He told presspersons here on Thursday that "Soy milk" was good for health as it contained less fat and cholesterol.
