Pushkarams: State to seek 100 crores from Centre

HYDERABAD, JULY 17. The State will seek Rs. 100 crores from the Centre as a grant for Krishna pushkarams to be held from August 28 to September 8.

The Endowments Minister, M. Satyanarayana Rao, is hopeful of getting a positive response from the Centre as it had granted Rs. 50 crores for Godavari pushkarams. Talking to reporters here on Saturday, the Minister said he received reports from Collectors of Mahabubnagar, Kurnool, Guntur, Krishna and Nalgonda on their requirement for the pushkaram works.
