Rickey stars in Royal Rangers' win
NEW DELHI,
JULY 17.
Rickey scored two goals, one each side of the break, to fashion Royal Rangers' 3-1 win over Garhwal Diamond in a Group `A' league match in the DSA `A' Division football championship at the Nehru Stadium here on Saturday.
Rickey opened the account, netting in the 18th minute, before Saseng made it 2-0 in the 25th. Rickey slotted home again in the 54th minute before Sushil scored the consolation goal for Garhwal.
In another match in the same group, Delhi Police defeated Ashoka Club 3-1 with Vijay (15th minute) and Mahesh Bisht (57th and 69th) scoring. For Ashoka Club Arjun Kadiyan was the scorer.
At the Ambedkar stadium, Ahbab Club blanked State Bank of India (SBI) 5-0. Shekar Khanna, Deepu Bhandari, Osmond John Ekka, Rupesh Dev and Yajvender were the scorers.
In another Group `B' match, Uttarakhand Club defeated Panchnkuian Club 3-0 with H. S. Chauhan (22nd and 45th) and Ashom (64th) being the scorers.
