KARIMNAGAR, JULY 17. The district police have deployed additional forces to tighten up security for the visit of the Chief Minister, Y.S Rajashekhar Reddy, to Karimnagar district on Sunday. Disclosing this to newsmen here on Saturday, the Karimnagar range DIG, S.A Sattar, the SP, Rajiv Ratan, the OSD, Vikram Singh Mann and the Karimnagar DSP, Y. Sai Narsa Reddy, said that four additional SPs, 10 DSPs, 25 to 30 CIs, 70 SIs, 750 head constables and constables would be deployed for bandobust duties at Godavarikhani, Jagtial and Karimnagar town during the visit. Besides, 20 police parties have been despatched to the forests areas from Jagtial to Podur villages where the Chief Minister will take part in `Rajiv palle bata' programme. Traffic will be diverted in all routes where the `palle bata' programme will be held. Traffic restrictions will be imposed in Karimnagar town also. The CM is scheduled to unveil the statue of the former MP, J Chokka Rao, attend a Zilla Parishad general body meeting and convene a review meeting with the district officials in Collectorate. The fire services department will position six fire tenders and additional fire fighting squads at all meeting venues of the Chief Minister and at helipads in Godavarikhani, Jagtial and Karimnagar.
