BANGALORE, JULY 17. The Karnataka Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation has prepared a draft policy for integrated solid waste management in the State, the KUIDFC Managing Director, K.P. Krishnan, said here today. Speaking at a seminar on "Integrated solid waste management," Mr. Krishnan said the draft policy had been submitted to the Government for approval. The Lokayukta, N. Venkatachala, who delivered the keynote address, said the chief executive officers of urban local bodies should be made responsible for solid waste management in areas under their jurisdiction.
