BELLARY, JULY 18. A couple, who were managing a sub-agency dealing in two-wheelers in the city, have been missing with cash to the tune of Rs. 10 lakh. According to Syed Isakh, Inspector, Brucepet Police Station, Shivaprakash, a resident of Chitradurga town, opened a sub-agency in the city about six months ago. He asked Veerbhadrappa, who was working with him at Chitradurga for the past four years, to look after the agency. Veerbhadrappa and his wife were appointed to look after the accounts. Things were fine for about six months and the shop was closed suddenly. Shivaprakash noticed that the bank balance had come down. The couple had been absconding and could not be traced. He then filed a complaint. A case of cheating and breach of trust has been booked against the couple. The police are on the look out for Veerbhadrappa, his wife and two mechanics.
